Paracosmia is a micronation founded in 2020 by Hannah Hightman.

 

"Micronation"can refer to a great number of things, but for our purposes, this term simply means a small land which, although not recognized internationally, has declared autonomy. Citizens of Paracosmia still abide by the laws of the macronations that they inhabit. Paracosmia was started because of a dissatisfaction with the macronations of the world and a desire for escapist fantasy. Citizens use Paracosmia as a retreat from the dismal state of the world more than anything else. Paracosmia's chief aim is fun and it does not seek to achieve statehood.
