The Congress of Wise Animals
Paracosmia has a unicameral legislature: the Congress of Wise Animals. The Congress of Wise Animals establish the laws of Paracosmia and are elected by the citizens. Elections are held every two years on April 15th.

One of the first meetings of the Congress
The Congress of Wise Animals was established by Langley Heade. The exact date of the first meeting is unknown, since many Paracosmians do not participate in the social construct of time. But during the meeting, the Congress ratified the Paracosmian Constitution as well as several other guiding principles of Paracosmia's economic system.
Meet the Current Members of Congress
Stithulf Ackermane
Stithulf Ackermane is the President of the Congress and a member of the Modern Pixie Party. He designed the Pixie Dust Initiative, and serves as a representative for the fairy community, as birds and fairies have always advocated for similar causes.
Lindon Edisone
Lindon Edisone is the President pro tem of the Congress. He is a member of the Cat Revolutionary Party, and is skilled at magic as well as politics. He has been a member of Congress for five years, and organized the Cat-Dog Peace Treaty.
Nara Clifforde
Nara Clifforde has been a member of Congress for the past six years. She is also a member of the Cat Revolutionary Party. Most recently she has developed the Fancy Hats Plan to be enacted next year.
Cenric Monetf
Cenric Monetf has been newly elected to Congress. Previously, he was a florist but soon discovered he had a flair for politics. He is a member of the Undivided Dog Union.
Harper Huffe
Another member of the Undivided Dog Union, Harper Huffe has dedicated his life to politics. He helped write the Cat-Dog Peace Treaty, and continues to attempt to better relations between the cat and dog communities.
Alodie Summers
Alodie Summers is the founder of the Undivided Dog Union. A former member of the Dog Honesty Coalition, he does not view cats as favorably as some of his colleagues but recognizes the importance of maintaining friendly relations.
Lark Harlane
Lark Harlane is a member of the Modern Pixie Party. A shrewd politician, he fights for his fairy constituents. In his spare time, Lark Harlane can be found singing-- he considers himself an amateur musician.
Imogene Lintone
Imogene Lintone is a member of the Cat Revolutionary Party. Though she has disapproved of the dog communikty's behavior in the past, she respects her colleagues. Along with Nara Heade, she co-wrote the Fancy Hats Plan.
Ainslee Dwerryhouse
The only squirrel in congress, Ainslee Dwerryhouse is an outspoken member of the International Squirrel Coalition. She opposed the Fancy Hat Plan, favoring instead the Fancy Dress Plan, but she is coming around.
